With years of experience and a reputation for detailed, dynamic carvings, Hayden continues to push the boundaries of his craft, creating art that celebrates the connection between nature, craftsmanship and imagination.

PHILOSOPHY

I carve to preserve the soul of the woods, especially the old trees that have stood as silent witnesses on someone’s land for generations. When a tree falls, it doesn’t mean the story ends. It means there’s a chance to give that story a new shape, one that still belongs to the place it grew.

I don’t just cut wood, I work with it. Every knot and curve guides the design. I talk with the people who knew the tree, who walked past it daily, who planted it, or watched it grow. Together, we decide how its legacy should live on. Not just as a carving, but as a presence.

The results aren’t rustic lawn ornaments, they’re dynamic, high-end sculptures. A life-sized stag rising from the heartwood, frozen in motion. A sweeping, abstract eagle with wings arcing upward, carved from a single standing trunk. A tree that becomes a memorial bench with finely detailed reliefs of the land’s wildlife woven into the grain. Each piece is crafted to feel inevitable, like it was always meant to be there, hidden in the wood all along.

These are more than sculptures. They are tributes. Connections between people, place, and time. I carve so the story doesn’t end, it transforms.
